SOIL IMPROVEMENT

FOR WHAT REASON ARE WE IMPROVING THE GROUND?
Soil is a valuable building material, the replacement of which generates considerable costs. The cost-effectiveness of the investment can be improved by improving the soil with binders, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transport and Water Management in the Journal of Laws of 2 March 1999. Soil replacement is also incompatible with the principles of a closed production cycle and environmental protection.

The re-use of the native soil is hampered by its limited suitability for compaction, too low bearing capacity or too high stone content. For this reason, soil improvement measures are necessary. Reducing the water content and improving the structure of the soil are important here. In order to achieve these effects, MTS has developed e.p.m. technology to achieve cost reductions, increase productivity and save production resources.
WHAT IS E.P.M.?
In a nutshell: filled with a suitable binding agent, the e.p.m. dispenser is mounted on an excavator or loader. In the first step, the binder is precisely dosed onto the excavated soil. Dosing is carried out by means of a hydraulic drive, the amount of dosed material is presented visually. The amount of binding agent can be adjusted to the given soil parameters via the dosing unit.

The binder-soil mixture is then thoroughly mixed with the MTS recycler in a single working operation and then placed in the trench. The full-hydraulic quick coupler allows the binder dispenser to be used on the excavator at any time and minimises downtime.
RECOMMENDED AREAS OF APPLICATION
‘Mixed in place’ or ‘mixed in plant’. Thanks to its ease of use, high productivity and ideal results, e.p.m technology can be used for earthworks in both built-up areas and large construction sites. The special design of the MTS recycler allows for soil grain sizes from 20 to 110 mm.

As a result, e.p.m technology is also useful in the areas of pipe laying and complies with EN 1610.
